Even if you could, you shouldn't. Many countries (mine included) have outlawed this because it would encourage some people to lie about their possible diseases and other conditions that would deny them a chance for easy money. Many of the Red Cross blood donation spots offer free refreshments and snacks instead and sometimes you might get a small gift, too.

Generally the going rate for donating blood is $40 per pint. This of course depends on your area and the local demand for blood. If you have a rare type of blood you will be able to sell it more often. You can only sell your blood every six weeks.
