Can there be bugs under a human's skin?

I think I see bugs under my boyfriend's skin!

It is possible for bugs or other parasites to be under someone's skin. Some of these can cause severe illness or other reactions. He should go to the doctor.

Unfortunately yes. Scabies are an example of a bug that breeds under human skin. If you think this is a real problem, consult a doctor.

Some flies and insects will lay eggs and have larva live under the skin of the host. However, this is very rare in the United States. And the affected individuals have pain where the larva live.

If he was bitten by a bug and the bug burrowed under his skin I would consult a doctor. This does happen with spiders which lay eggs under the skin and sometimes they look like a blackhead and when opened small spiders come out. Get this professionally looked at immediately.

there is something called scabies which are bugs or skin lice usually a person will have a red rash of raised bumps whereever the scabies are. there is a prescription lotion to treat this. it has to be applied over the entire body in order to kill the scabies. most the time one treatment is enough.
