If it is not an engine designed for gasoline then absolutely. Many small engines run on a mixture of oil and gasoline in them.

Depends upon if the small engine required oil to be mixed with the gas to make it run properly. Some engines require oil mixed in with the gas. If you just put in regular fuel you will burn up the motor indefinately.
