Can my employer reduce my hours to part time?

It really depends on your work conditions and contract. If your contract forbids it, then no, your employer cannot reduce your hours to part time. However, if your contract does not specify the number of hours you will be paid, then yes, your employer can reduce your hours.

Yes, they may, if they are paying you the same hourly rate with the reduction in hours. They cannot cut your time in half and your pay by 2/3.

Absolutely! If the employer sees that you are goofing off, this could happen. Another thing is, if you are not working within the standards of the business, this might also happen. If you are slacking off, or just not getting the job done to the employer's expectations, this case usually results in this.
