Yes. Moisture trapped inside a water bottle, especially a plastic water bottle, will breed mold, mildew, germs, and fungus. As a general rule to prevent this wash and rinse your bottles regularly, and store them in the refrigerator anytime they are filled with liquids. Also do not allow filed bottles to sit in direct sunlight.
