Can mildew on siding get into your home?

I have noticed that I have mildew growing on the outside of my home and am concerned that it may have entered my house.

If your walls are insulated, the mildew probably won't get into your home. But it can often make unsightly stains. Some sidings are mildew resistant or can be treated.

Mildew can get into your house if there is not the proper ventilation and heating. It is easily prevented and treated with a household cleaner and a damp cloth. Keep an eye on it.

Mildew shouldn't be able to get into your house if it is well sealed. To kill mildew use a bleach/water solution.

Unless you have substantial holes or cracks, the mildew should not enter into your house. It also could enter the house if the mildew is actually on a window or door seal. However, for general health, you should probably try to get the mildew cleaned. Power washing would be the best option for this type of cleaning.

This is quite a possibility. I would get an ultra violet wand and use it over the mildew area. It should kill it. We used that at my house.
