I would think anything that looks formal and classic is appropriate for a wedding. I would make sure to stay away from white, off-white and ivory so that you do not clash with the bride. The color typically does not matter for a wedding; you must just watch out for the style of dress you wear.

There is nothing wrong with that, although I would not wear white. White is what the bride should wear only. Besides that all other neutrals should make you look great.

Yes, as long as they are not in the white category. Tans, light pastels. Be sure they are not the same color of the bridemaids or the parents.
