Sometimes nail polish remover does remove paint. It depends on wear the paint is and how thick. Use paint thinner if you have any before nail polish, but as a last resort, you can try nail polish. It just won't be as strong as if you were using paint thinner.

That depends on the kind. IF you use a straight acetone nail polish remove, yes it will remove some types of paint.

Nail polish remover isn't usually an effective method for removing paint. Your best bet if you're trying to remove paint from your skin is to use shampoo because it will break down the ingredients- you just have to scrub hard. Paint thinner works b est but it may not be safe to use on your skin.

Nail Polish remover has acetone in it so it takes off the polish by breaking down the hardener in it. If you are using water based paint it may take it off but for anything large or oil based try using a stronger paint remover. Try your hardware store for suggestions.

Nail polish remover may remove both acrylic and latex based paints. Most nail polish removers contain acetone, which can destroy plastics and some fabrics, so be sure to test on a small area first.
