Can I use baking soda to rid my ponds of algae?

This is one possible strategy that one can use in ridding their ponds of algae. Baking soda doesn't have a 100% success rate in killing the algae though because some have built up an immunity to it over the years through evolution.

Yes, you can use baking soda to get rid of algae from your ponds. Just take some baking soda and sprinkle the same in your pond. It will get dissolved in the water and will produce carbon dioxide, which in turn will kill all the algae and will clean your pond as required.
