Can I kill weeks with rock salt in my driveway?

I think this question is about weeds, yes it will kill weeds quickly by sprinkling some rock salt onto the weeds.

Weeds will die after being covered with any salt. Salt will also eat away at cement. So use salt sparingly.

Spread about 100 pounds of rock salt. After rains a few times the salt will not just "poison" plants but make the ground unable to grow any thing for years
