Can I get a job with a felony conviction?

I really need a job but am scared to go apply.

It depends on the job. Your options are limited, as many jobs will not hire felons, but some will. Applying never hurts.

It depends on the felony. There are some areas where it is likely you will never be able to work. You should continue to apply for any job that is within the realm of reason and then go to the interview. Be honest about your past and demonstrate that it is behind you. Don't give up.

Yes, you can get a job. But the truth is that you may have some difficulty. Be upfront about the conviction, your employer can fire you if you don't.

Yes. There are services out there that are free for applicants and businesses get bonuses for hiring you. See

Sorry to be the one to inform you but most places will not hire someone who has been convicted of a Felon. A lot of places like Wal-Mart actually flat out say that won't. You are probably going to have to find a place that doesn't background check or find someone who is willing to take you despite your past.
