Probably, but there are two factors that are going to matter. First, were you convicted? Second, was it a felony? If bot answers are yes, no gun.

Only if he is convicted of a felony shoplifting charge or any other felony charge. Being convicted of a misdemeanor shoplifting offense will not prevent you from legally purchasing a gun. add a comment

Surely you can legally. Shoplifting is a crime but not so big that your rights are taken off. You simply need to go to a licensed store and ask for a legal gun. It wont be a big deal. There are no criminal records registered for shoplifting so nothing to worry about.
