Yes, birds can contract ringworm. It is a fungus, not a parasite. The fungus is particularly rough on birds, as it damages their feathers, and causes the birds to lose them. It is also contagious from birds to humans, so if your bird contracts ringworm, be sure to get him to a vet as soon as possible for treatment.

According to several prominent veterinarians, they've never treated a bird with ringworm. However, there is a slim chance of them contracting the fungus infection from another animal or human. If you are worried segregate them, thoroughly clean all their items and cage, and treat any occurrences of in the home.

Yes. Ringworm isn't actually a worm, but a fungus. Any warmblooded animal can get it, though it's generally found only in mammals.

I don't believe that they do. I have never seen or heard of it before.I guess in a way they could if they have been handled by someone that has it. Cat's are good for it.
