Anorexics can drink diet drinks because there aren't any calories and the beverage could also give the feeling of being full without the added caloric intake of a regular drink.

Anorexia is not a diet. It is an eating disorder. Therefore, a person suffering with anorexia CAN eat or drink whatever he or she feels like eating or drinking. The problem is that he or she may not be able to allow him/herself to do so.

An anorexic should not be dieting, whether with diet drinks or any other methods. Such a person needs treatment for their illness.
