Yes, it can. Some other signs of adrenal disease in ferrets are: unusual hair loss, lethargy, and rapid weight loss. Only your veterinarian can diagnose adrenal disease in ferrets. A distended abdomen is cause for concern with or without any of the other signs of adrenal disease.
