Usually when a female dog is spayed the ovaries, ducts and uterus are removed. This ensures no pregnancy can occur. If a dog only had a tubal ligation, there is a rare chance of failure allowing fertilization and pregnancy.

Usually for females 'fixing' means they remove the uterus, tubes and ovaries, leaving no parts behind that can foster puppies.

If the dog is spayed, there really is no way that she can get pregnant because they remove the ovaries completely. Maybe see a vet for odd behaviors?

Don't worry, a dog who is spayed cannot become pregnant. A male, neutered dog can also not impregnate a female dog. Please see a vet to determine the cause of your dog's symptoms.

When a female dog is fixed her whole uterus and overies are removed. It is possible for a bit of an overy to be missed, so she may still display signs of ovulating and preparing to come into season but it is very doubtful she can get pregnant with out a uterus.
