Dogs can get what they call walking lice which can only me seen by a microscope. You could be seeing fleas which are much more common. Starting your dog on monthly coverage for fleas and other parasites is recommended.

Dogs can have lice, but more commonly they'll have fleas. Most parasites can feed on the blood of a host they don't favor but will jump ship at the first opportunity.

Believe it or not, but yes! Dog lice is transmitted by direct contact between dogs. Your dog will be suffering from very intense itching, and you will be able to see nits and lice near his skin.

There is such a thing as canine lice. Dogs don't usually get lice easily, but it does occur. You need to bathe them with special dog shampoo (pyrethrin), do this in seven day intervals. Dog lice cannot be transfered to humans, as human lice cannot be transferred to dogs.Keeping the dog clean is most important to avoid lice.

Dogs can definately get lice but it is not the same as a humans lice and it cant be transfered to humans or cats. Human lice can not be tranfered to dogs either. There are natural treatments such as garlic supplements but the best treatments are K9 Adnavtix or Frontline.

Yes, dogs can get lice. Humans can't get dog lice and dogs can't get human lice. Not even cats can get dog lice. Lice lay eggs on the hair shafts and their life cycle takes around 20 days to complete. They are gray, small and flat. They move very slowly and are about 1/12th of an inch.
