Can a baby get a yeast infection?

Yeast infections are very common in young children, particularly those still in diapers. When infants and children get yeast infections they must visit the doctor to be prescribed anti-fungal medicines. Do not give them any over the counter treatments as these are not intended for children.

Yes and in babies it most commonly appears as thrush, which looks like a whitish film in their mouths. As part of the treatment the breastfeeding mother should eat yogurt.
