At what age should I talk to my daughter about sexual abuse?

I need to start telling my daughter about sexual abuse.

as soon as she can understand teach about good touch and bad touch, and as her level of understanding increases so should your level of teaching, you need to give kids the knowledge to protect themselves

It's important to begin talking to your children, boys and girls, about this terrible subject very early, but use age appropriate methods. With very young children, you can show them dolls and explain that no one should touch private areas, and show the private areas on the dolls. Ask your children regularly if anyone has done this.

You should talk to your daughter as soon as she starts asking questions, if she does not then talk to her at about age 8 or 9.

I think when she reaches 12 or 13 she should be able to fully comprehend what you are telling her. You can get into specifics at that age since they're either learning or have learned about sex. Younger children could be told that it's not okay for people to touch them in a sexual manner.
