No the teeth are not connected to the tongue. but the gums are in continuation with the floor of the mouth,which is again continuous with the tongue. tongue is connected with the throat.
When you put your teeth on your tongue, that is when they are connected then. When you don't do this, then your teeth and tongue are no longer connected. It is separated then.
