Are there warranties on salvage titles?

Lemon Laws state that a vehicle for sale comes with certain warranties, merchantibility and fitness for a particular purpose. The seller must disclose all known defects, thus the salvage status of the title. The seller may negate the required warranties by attaching an "as is with no warranty" disclaimer stating the seller has not failed to disclose known defects.

Usually, no one will want to warrant a vehicle under salvage title as it's often suffered extensive damage. The dealer can if they want, and you can bargain for it.

A salvage title is an implied warranty in and of itself. If you are looking to ensure that the title is clean before purchasing a car that is salvaged, then you should do your research. You can do this online fairly easily to check on the title, then ensure it is clean.
