Are there any treatments for stage 4 adenocarcinoma?

My uncle was recently diagnosed and we are still in shock.

There are always treatments for cancer. The most common will be radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The big question is how effective the treatments will be. Radiation and chemotherapy are deadly...they just kill the cancer a little quicker than they kill the patient. With stage 4 adenocarcinoma these may buy you some time but probably won't cure the cancer.

Surgery , chemotherapy , Adjuvant chemotherapy for NSCLC , Radiotherapy , Interventional radiology , Targeted therapy , etc are few treatments for stage 4 adenocarcinoma . Surgery is the main treatment . Three types of surgery can be used - 1. Wedge resection 2. Lobectomy 3. Pneumonectomy 4. VATS (Video-assisted thoracoscopy) .
