If you have a big enough yard and a lot of money, you can have any size pool that you want. However, you generally do find these kind of pool depths at establishments with Olympic size pools, such as universities and YMCAs.

Most likely an "18' pool" is a reference to the length of an in-ground pool. Most backyard pools have a maximum depth of 10'. Olympic pools are 50'x25', 6' deep.

Yes there is 18 foot pools because you can have a pool made to any size that you would like it to be so that it is a custom pool.
