Plants do not steal oxygen. As a matter of fact plants give off oxygen, and take in carbon dioxide. Plants and humans rely on each other for gasses. Apart from plants giving us oxygen we also give them carbon dioxide. It is a cycle that has been happening form the beginning of time.

They are taking in the oxygen to use through their photosynthesization process, which is necessary for their survival. They are taking very minute amounts of oxygen, and in return they respirate much higher quantities.
