Each college website that offers online classes will have a section to show their accredibility, it is most important to be sure you are interested in a specific degree that will be beneficial in the work force. If you are concerned, try applying to a school that has a campus as well as offers online classes.

They are generally worthless. Most of these schools are not accredited by any reputable agency, and their diplomas are rarely recognized by either businesses or other schools.

As long as the online college or university you attend is accredited, most employers will accept your degree from them. However, some employers look down upon "degree factories," so make sure you choose a reputable school with a good reputation. Read review online to find out which school is best for you.

Well if depends on the school. There are some online schools that are very reputable, and others that are complete jokes. Just ask up front about their credentials. You should receive an answer that they are accredited by a large organization (such as Middle States). It depends where you are and what you are studying, though.
