This is a style that hasn't been "in" since about the 50's but is often brought back ironically by the hipsters of the moment during just about every generation.

Long socks with skirts are *not* in style unless you are younger than 15 or regularly participate in roller derby. They are definitely not appropriate for work - you should Save them for Halloween or for costume parties. If you are wearing a skirt, go with bare legs or cute tights.

No, not at all. With summer now in session, long socks should be buried among the sweaters. Now its on to flip flops.

They're in style depending on what look you are going for if you are going for the goth ,lolita or school girl look, this style is great. For lolita, get the ones with lace. For goth, red, black or plaid works well with a mini skirt. For the school girl look, wear white blue or black socks with a miniskirt.

It's a trend that keeps coming back again. It was very popular in the mid 1990's. It seems to have come back again.
