Are Jesus dolls considered graven images?

Some very conservative Christians would say that they are both, but more liberal Christians see dolls, statues and the like as tools to remember and understand, not as idols.

Technically any image or representation of religious nature is a "graven image" or idol. It's only sacrilegious if you confuse worshipping the image for worshipping the deity it represents.

They are sacrilegious because in the Ten Commandments, we are commanded not to make any graven images of God and worship them. Instead, we should study the Bible to grow in our relationship with God and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's ways and His will to us.
