Are crunches good for lower abs?

I hate to do crunches but will if they help my lower abs.

Doing crunches are a good way to exercise all parts of your abs including your lower abs. A better approach though are "reverse crunches".To do these you simply lie on your back on the floor and lift both of your feet about 6-12 inches off the ground and hold as long as possible. Repeat as able.

Crunches are one of the best exercises for lower abs. If done correctly they really target the lower abdominal area, but reverse crunches really target the lower abs. There are many ways to modify crunches to make them more enjoyable. You can use an exercise ball, use a medicine ball and incorporate Pilates.

Any kind of exercise is good. Crunches will help your lower abs but you need to do other exercises and watch your diet to get a good result. Sometimes taking a water pill helps.
