Yes this is true. The poison in the Castor bean is called ricin. A person would have to eat several beans to ingest enough poison to be lethal. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea and abdominal pain. There is no cure for the poison.

The castor bean is poisonous and is the main ingredient used in Castrol oil. It is also the main ingredient used in ricin, the deadly chemical ingredient used in warfare.
