Airline prices are actually all over the map currently. Flight prices for planes headed to common destination areas, such as Las Vegas and the Bahamas, are currently decreasing. This is due to the current economic recession and the decrease in travels.

There is no definite answer to this as the increase or decrease of airline tickets is seasonal. It will all depend on the place you are travelling to and how much in demand those tickets are. To save on money, plan your trips so that you do not travel to a place during it's peak season.
