Sharp pain after a c-section usually comes from abdominal gas and is normal. However, fever, redness or swelling near the incision, or increased bleeding or discharge, requires immediate medical attention.

My first instinct is to strongly suggest you contact your ob/gyn. They know your situation, and can verify that the pains you are experiencing are a normal symptom after a cesarean, or if the pain you are experiencing needs further medical attention. Drink lots of water and get rest!

You should consult your doctor. Any symptoms you have after any type of surgery or anything similiar you should talk to your doctor about it. A lot of symptoms might be something small and nothing to be concerned about but if your having pain you need to talk to your doctor about it.

It depends really on the severity of the pain, but the best thing to do is call your doctor for advice, or if you can not reach him, call the maternity ward where your baby was delivered and speak to a nurse or the doctor on call. It may just be trapped gas, which is common after a c-section.
