The most common symptom is a change in the voice. It can be either hoarseness, change in the sound of the voice, or even completely losing the voice. Another symptom can be a sore throat.

The most obvious and major symptom of laryngitis is losing one's voice. Some other symptoms of laryngitis include a minor cough, sinus congestion, pain in the glands, and there is a possibility of having some pain in the ear, which could be indicative of a postnasal drip. Any combination of these symptoms would warrant a trip to your doctor's office.
