I have the Brother CE-5000PRW 50 stitch machine. While not as durable as more expensive machines, it is a good bargain and has held up well for me over the past year. The digitized display is convenient and easy to use, and it includes pretty decorative stitches.

I have the Singer Futura. It does regular sewing and machine embroidery. You can digitize your own designs or, buy designs already programmed for your machine.

My Singer Simple 3116 is a good product for beginners or home based projects. The automatic threader and simple features are appreciated along with the detailed video included for all troubleshooting problems. The only issue I have is the very few decorative stitches available.

I have a Singer sewing machine. It is a great machine - it has a variety of fancy stitches and also works great for the basics.
