Would progesterone cream cause very heavy period clots?

No it wouldn't. Progesterone blocks estrogen and thus reduces bleeding and or stops it. The heavy blood clotting is probably due to something else. I would advise to check with your Gynecologist.

Progesterone is a hormone which regulates the menstrual cycle, so it would not be uncommon for a cream containing it to cause very heavy period clots. An increase in the hormone within the bloodstream could cause menstrual irregularities.

Progesterone is the hormone that keeps the body tricked into pregnancy, the longer or higher the dose, would delay or stall your period, but not add to your period.

Because progesterone typically reduces menstrual flow, it should also reduce the presence of clots, rather than increase them. Heavy clotting can be cause by fibroids, which can be screened for.
