No, absolutely not. They will just get in the way and make your garden look like trash. A much better alternative is to remove the pests by hand or use a commercial pesticide or spray. Or if you are an organic gardener, you can use a commercial organic pest repelant.

Moth balls will repel certain kinds of garden pests. Squirrels, rabbits, and deer are repelled by the odor released by moth balls. Mothballs dissolve over time so you need to check them and replace as needed.

Yes putting moth balls will help repel against some pest not all,mostly snakes like types of garden snakes and will repel mice if you put cheese inside of the mothball.

Moths are the same thing as Naphthalene which is a snake repellent. Moth balls can be used to repel snakes but it does not effectively work on rodents.
