Sometimes watering grass more often is enough to keep it healthy and green, especially in dry climates. Some types of grass turn yellow and go dormant during the winter months. Fertilize your lawn in early spring with an organic compost that's high in nitrogen.

Depending on how wet the weather has been more watering can help keep the grass green. But, if it continues to be yellow you should consult a professional.
