Will Bactrim get rid of a dental abscess?

Itt may just depending on how bad the abscess is, I was giving a special fluoride treatment for one i had in high school. It help significantly, talk to your dentist about it. If you irritate the area with the abscess you could potentially make it much worse then it already is

Bactrim is used to treat a variety of infections, but only when the infection is strongly suspected of being caused by susceptible bacteria. It is mainly used to treat Urinary Tract Infections,Acute Otitis Media, Chronic Adult Bronchitis, and Adult Traveler's Diarrhea. It is seldom used to treat a dental abscess.

Bactrim can possibly help is getting rid of a dental abscess, but is much more effective with lower tract infections, such as urinary tract infections, prostate infections, vaginal infections, etc. Other forms of antibotics that are less powerful would be more effective in treating infections for dental work, sinus infections, etc.

It is used to treat all sorts of infections, including this type of infection. It is ordinarily prescribe for lower tract infections. Other antibiotics are usually more effective in treating tooth infections.

Bactrim is a good antibiotic for tough infections that may be resistant to other antibiotics. MRSA carriers tend to get prescribed Bactrim for infections
