If she is bleeding vaginally she could be in heat, although cats don't normally bleed while in heat, or her uterus could be torn.

Mature female cats that have not been spayed will go into estrus (heat) just like other mammals. If your female cat does not find a mate and become pregnant, she will essentially have her menstrual period.
