Shaking, or convulsing, can be symptomatic of many serious things, such as seizures, feline leukemia, and strokes. Consult with your vet immediately. If having a seizure, it may be a bad idea to have it drink. But if sick, it may need the hydration. This is a dangerous situation.

The cat could likely be under the weather. Other possibilities could be that your cat could have had a seizure, or be hypogkycemic. If you are concerned, get your cat to the vet for medical care. Better to be safe than sorry. Also, running bloodwork may be beneficial.

If your cat has been exposed to pesticides this could be a sign of toxicity. If you can, quickly bathe him to remove the pesticide and take him in to the vet right away before he absorbs any more.

The cat might have eaten something poisonous. If your cat goes without eating for more than a day, something might be seriously wrong. I suggest going to a vet ASAP.

The cat could have any number of problems. I would recommend consulting a veterinarian either by telephone or by arranging an appointment to be seen.
