Why is my old cat bellowing?

There are many reasons why your old cat may be bellowing. Is your cat hungry? Is there another animal nearby? Have you been ignoring your cat lately?

The obvious answer is that he is in pain.I had an old cat who did the same thing. I took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with liver failure.It could be physical or psychological, but he is definitely not happy.

Your cat is searching for love as it is in heat, so it is on the prowl and seeking for an intimate encounter and as it seeks for a mate many male cats will show up to full fill natures call.

When cats get older,they seem to lose their orientation sometimes. If you hear him bellow, call his name - you may need to do it two or three times - and he will realize where he is, and that he is safe, and he will stop crying out.
