This could be a serious medical condition and should be taken to a licensed veterinarian. This could be a sign of an upper respiratory infection and antibiotics will be needed.

Usually when they cough up mucus like that it means an upper respiratory infection. It would be best to consult a vet about it.

You should take your kitten to the vet immediately. Throwing up mucus is a sign that your cat is ill, has eaten something poisonous, or is not eating properly. If she has been throwing up for two days she is probably dehydrated and will need to be given fluids. This can be done by a trained vet.

She may very well have a kitty cold. If you are worried you can always take her to the vet and have them check her out.

Usually when a dog, cat, or in some cases even reptiles throw up mucus or have mucus coming out of their mouth it means upper respiratory infection. As I recall this is usually treatable if caught in time, but I don't remember how to treat it so your best bet is to take your kitten to a vet.

There are a number of possible explanations, such as a furball, simply has picked up a virus, has eaten something that hasn't agreed with her, etc. If this continues for much longer, I would highly suggest taking her to your vet. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but you never know with this.

She is very sick! You need to take her to a vet to see if you can get antibiotics for pneumonia. This can kill a little kitten very easily if it goes on.

our 9 week old kitten has same issue, vomiting mucus (no coughing or sneezing and no lethargy), and the vet feels it's parasites.

It's throwing up mucus because it has not been eating enough of it's own hair to make a substantial hairball. It is only capable of weak hairballs that looks like mucus. Try to get it to clean itself more by making it dirtier. If it still fails to clean itself then throw it out.

The cat may have eaten something that didn't agree with her. Is she old enough to be eating regular grown up cat diet? She may have hairballs.
