Why does my Pontiac Grand Am stall out at stoplights when it's hot?

The usual causes of a warm engine stall are 1) Vacuum leak (bad hose or leaky gasket) 2) Bad EGR 3) Bad idle sensor. I would bet you have a check engine light. -Go to your local parts store and check the code.

If your car is overheating then there is a sensor that will cut the car off from overheating and causing engine problems.
