If it's an outdoor cat, it may have been injured, got stung by a bee or other insect, or came in contact with something it's allergic to.

He might have an infection, or an infected tooth. In either case the best place for the cat is at the vets.

There are many reasons a cat could have a swollen jaw. The first that comes to mind is an infected tooth. A vet visit would definitely be in order.

Your cat's swelling could be caused by insect stings and bites, an infected wound, or an allergy. A quick trip to the vet will identify and treat the problem.
