Why does my BMW328i sound bad after running through the car wash?

You may have rattled something loose in the under carriage of the vehicle. Most car washes do an under body spray, or you could have rubbed against something while on the tracks.

If you car sounds bad after running through the car wash, you may be getting water in the intake. Do you have a K & N filter? If so, try covering the filter so no water enters and I bet the sound goes away. You shouldn't let your air filter be exposed to water, it is bad for the engine.

Your bmw's spark plugs are probobly getting wet from the undercarriage wash and is causing the car to miss. Try buying some new spark plug wires that have a bigger boot.

It may be possible that your BMW wasn't made as perfectly as possible. This would lead to a leak somewhere that allows water to pool somewhere inside the car. That would make the driving sound worse after going through a car wash, until the water evaporates a few days later.

Well more than likely it is running badly due to water getting into parts of the engine it should not. Car was use pressurized waster to spray dirt of you car but this water can work it's way inside the car sometime. You will need to look into your ignition system and open up any components that cold hold water.

Car wash can be horrible for your car. Brush-less one are bad because the use such high pressure water. It sounds like either your electrical got wet of water got into the engine cause the poor running. Do your car a favor and always hand-wash it.

Any component that was blasting away at the car could cause some damage. It is possible that it may of knocked something loose.

As far as i think there must be some water gone in side the cars engine or somewhere else so thet is why it is sounding soo harsh.
