First, make sure that all the phones in the house have DSL filters on theme. Second, check with your phone company - you may have a bad signal.

Modems cannot be "formatted. " That word only applies to data storage devices, such as a hard drive or flash card. If your internet connection is frequently lost, try turning the modem off and on. If this does not solve the problem, you either have an issue with your service provider, or the modem itself is broken.

Your question doesn't make sense. You cannot reformat a modem. There's no hard disk. You can flash the firmware, but that's not something you generally EVER do. If you just mean "reset," then that's probably a problem on your phone company's end. Their signal is weak or hardware is failing.

It would seem that you have a defective piece of equipment. I recommend that you contact the company that provided you with the equipment and have them send you another one.

Dsl modems are not reformatted, they can be reset to default settings, you might want to look into why you are "reformatting" your dsl. Now you might consider getting it replaced by your ISP. If that doesn't work, you may want to check into a firewall, and virus protection, and by all means make backups of important data.
