Why does it look like white glue coming from the roots of a mimosa tree I cut down three years ago?

Though a tree may be cut all the way down to the stump, they may still be living. Your mimosa tree is probably still alive, the sap indicates that there is still activity in the tree and you might be getting shoots growing up from the stump and roots soon.

Although the tree was cut down the roots may still be alive. What you have is sap still rising. This may continue till the roots finally die themselves. If this is a problem, you could probably get someone to remove the stump.

Thanks, I was hoping it didn't kill the rest of the plants I have but it didn't seem to be doing that, I was just making sure. Thanks again, t  add a comment
