Why do women feel like they have to be super moms?

I don't feel that way but everybody else does.

In the past, if a woman was not a mother, she was a failure in some capacity. Since the role of women has changed to also being a provider in the home, some women feel guilt because they are still culturally demanded to provide child care, and there is not enough time to fulfill both tasks and be wholly successful.

God put us on the earth to pro-create. The economy makes it impossible. Mom has to work, take the kids to soccer, baseball practice, dance class, make supper, clean house, and make Dad happy. Seems there's no choice.

I think that thanks to a long history of struggle for equality and acceptance, society puts a lot of pressure on women to perform exceedingly well, and most especially when they become moms. But, also, moms put pressure on themselves to appear competent and capable of juggling everyday tasks, and they simply don't want to disappoint their loved ones.

Inability to complete all tasks under our responsibilities makes moms feel like if they cannot, they are failures. We also just want the absolute best for our kids!
