Pot-bellied pigs are more intelligent and complex than other pets. A pig can grind their teeth for many reasons. Sometimes there is just a dental issue causing irritation, so check the pigs mouth for problems first. They can also grind out of boredom or for emotional reasons. Think about changes in the pigs environment that coincide with the problem.

Pot-bellied pigs suffer from a rare form of hypo-allergicness that requires them to constantly grind their teeth. It would be best not to put any fingers in there.

They do not grind their teeth what you are hearing is there bottom teeth coming up against the tusks in the top of their mouth and males and females have them.
