Why do people give stuffed animals as gifts on Valentines Day?

Many people give stuffed animals as gifts because they have heard the other person saying they like a certain one they saw. Also some give them as a way to give the person company when they are not around. For example if a girls boyfriend was leaving town he might give her one to sleep with.

The key part is if you don't live with your sweetheart. A stuffed animal is a long lasting reminder of your loved one. When you miss them you can snuggle the stuffed animal easier than a necklace or box of chocolates they gave you. However, if you have more than one stuffed animal from them, the sentiment is lost.

Most likely it is because girls and women love stuffed animals being a girl myself I love getting stuffed kitty cats they are adorable I guess that is why.

It is a traditional thing that is done on Valentine's day. It is a token and the stuffed animals are not really expensive. Put it this way, they beef up flowers or similar things given on the day of love. Plus people hang onto them, unless they break up.
