I do not know exactly why, but it is a known fact that mouth sores and cuts heal much faster than those in other parts of the body, and rarely get infected.

You probably do a good job at avoiding the foods that would further irritate a cut in your mouth without even realizing. Overly sour, hot, or salty things would slow down the healing process but it varies from person to person. Your body seems to be able to keep up.

Your mouth is made of mucous tissue, there are more blood vessels in your mouth because of this which provides more oxygen to the area for healing.

The primary reason is that the head and neck has a very rich blood supply so its easy to get the materials required for healing to the site.
